Knowing this I felt happy that we had a bit more comfortable weather on this September afternoon. When crossing the vast summit plateau it was easy to feel the ruggedness of nature, and the last thing I wished was to lose my way up here in the waning daylight. We still had a descent of more than 4200 ft. in front of us, so it was about time to return into the valley.
