Half past two in the afternoon, after six hours' ascent, we reached the summit of Mount Washington. To me this was just one more state highpoint being climbed, as Mount Washington with its elevation of 6288 ft. / 1917m was the highest point in New Hampshire. But this was not 'just' another state highpoint!
