After the Makalu trip these Rainbow M.E. shorts returned to their life as running shorts, but when five years later I held a so-called rope-leader course, introducing colleagues from the Danish Mountain Club to the interesting life in and among the mountains, these shorts were one of two pairs I had brought with me to Randa in Switzerland. This picture is taken on our way up to the Tasch hut on our first trip together.
