Rainbow M.E.

I had not been using lycra shorts so much by then, only a few times on hut approaches and so, but this was something different. To reach the foot of Makalu we had to trek for ten days during the end of the monsoon season, and the first week we trekked up through the rainforest. Most of the time I was wet to the skin, but with temperatures around 25°C it wasn't cold at all. This way I found out that nylon and lycra wear was absolutely perfect for such climate, and I was wearing these lycra shorts for all seven days.
