The wound looked severe, with a lot of blood oozing from it, but luckily it was not very serious. No bones were broken, and realizing that I was able to stand on my legs with no problems I calmed down. My shoes and shorts were heavily stained with blood, so to protect my leg I changed into long tights before finishing the last three hours' hike into Base Camp.
