Approaching the seventh and last river crossing we found that again it was too late in the day and the water was just too high. This time we didn't want to run the risk and decided to stay the night there on the far side of the river, making an emergency bivouac and staying the night without sleeping bags or tent. Early next morning the water level had dropped about 25 cm, but when crossing the river I stumbled over a submerged boulder and crashed headlong into the water. And emerging again with a severe graze on my right shinbone.
