A bit outside the beach is a long sand bank, which was formed by the changing currents a couple of hundred years ago. Since then this sand bank had grown in size to a proper island and is now connected with the main island on its northern tip. And I have got used to cross a small bridge to the southern tip and run along the outer beach to the connection point before returning on the inside protection dam.
