One reason to use long-legged tights on dry glaciers is to prevent bruises of the skin from the rough glaciated terrain. But wearing tights wouldn't have helped me much when during the approach I slipped and fell on an icy moraine. My fellow seller txdude2000 mentioned in his auction that these shorts has neither rips nor holes. This is not correct anymore, as the moraine tore several small holes in my shorts. However, this didn't bother me so much as it just adds another page to the Major Motion story, but it was quite a nuisance to wear the bloody shorts the rest of the day.
