The shorts are made from 89% supplex nylon and only 11% lycra, but still they have plenty of stretch and are very soft to the touch, probably because of the supplex nylon. They almost feel like underwear, but with the black and white bands down the sides sewn onto the shorts, I think they are intended for being used on its own.
