Finally we reached the bottom of the valley. We had been climbing at a high speed the last few hours, and sweating a lot I long since had run out of water. At the valley stream I could refuel before hurrying down the valley. Although cutting several switchbacks we came 15 minutes too late for the bus, but successfully we managed to hitchhike to Tegernsee and catch the train back to Munich in time.
