Following the stop at Pactola Dam we drove to Keystone and spent the rest of the day there, visiting Mount Rushmore twice that day, as this Monument was much too interesting to flip through in an hour or so. So after having booked a room for the night in a motel in Keystone we returned to the Monument to watch the Evening Lighting Ceremony. This was a breathtaking spectacle, and it was difficult to leave the place after the show. And when we finally tore away I felt I had an immediate need of a whiskey! And then also a beer!
