Alex had been leading most of the way up to here, but during the passage of the boulders he often had stepped back and left it to me to follow the way up. I felt good about this, as I enjoyed being here and enjoyed the view over the woodland below me. And arriving at the foot of the headwall he now suggested, that I should lead the climb up the headwall!
