But in December 2008 I took my Realm shirt on its first hike. The hike had started in snowy conditions, but during the first night temperature increased, and after a few hours of heavy dripping from the trees, all the snow had gone when we got up the next morning. Yet still there was a cold wind blowing, and I was happy with the extra warmth from my Realm rashie.
