I had expected that these Cold Gear shirts could take over when my old thermal shirts were worn out, so I could have some decent clothing to wear in the cold winter days - but apparently that failed. For they were not warmer than my old thermals, rather contrarily. This maybe was a result of the compression fit, for even though I liked these shirts to fit close to my body, this compression also flattened my body hairs, which is a major part of my body insulation.
