Instead I build up my own idea of how the big hole could have been made. The hole was right on the tip of the shoulder blade, and with the shirt being excessively worn I could imagine that it had been taken on a severe hike or maybe even a climb. Thus long time abrasion from wearing a rucksack could have caused this hole.
