The pads are something particular, as they are made from 100% polyurethane, thus artificial rubber, and naturally those pads are not sewn into the garment, as for longevity they are put into precisely-shaped pockets incorporated in the fabric, those pockets made from 85/15% nylon/spandex mix on the outer side and 100% polyester on the inside.
