And it felt good to wear my well-worn Val's shorts this nice and warm evening in Rome. I had now owned these shorts for eighteen years, so certainly it was time for my compulsory check to find if they had been overstretched during the years - though I knew that this was not needed. Because as they were a size Extra Large they were already from the start too big for my liking.
