I very much could have gone on that hike the following year, as in October 2011 I was going to Kathmandu in Nepal, which would have been the perfect place to go for a long and sweaty hike. But in the end it turned out that I never left Kathmandu, so the only sweaty activity there became my daily half hour on the hotel treadmill.
