The shorts are made by Hind from 85 % nylon and 15 % lycra spandex, a quite ordinary nylon/lycra mix. Although not being particular shiny, the shorts are very smooth and silky to the touch when dry. In these humid curcumstances they were all wet, though, and here they felt more like moist human skin.
