Paul lived in a nice house on a large property near Laidley outside Brisbane, but on this trip I was out in the outback near Ayers Rock, located almost centrally in Australia. I had been invited to run a marathon at that place, but because of the blood clot I had been struck by in 2013 I had not been able to participate there.
