Now I could see the wooden structure coming up ahead: the bridge. And it seemed that I would have dry footing all the way on my run through the moor of Veksø. The last steps to the bridge had usually been swampy, but I felt sure that I would also overcome this last swampy part. And once across the bridge there was usually dry land.
