Also it was a somewhat unusual feeling with the pad over my ass. For the pads were rather hard and didn't have the same rounded edges as the pads in my Under Armour Football pants had. So when I was sitting down it felt like I was sitting on something. Which indeed I was, but the first times I had to look for what I was sitting on until I got used to that I myself was carrying the item around in the shorts.
