Our first stop was Rampart Range, where we had planned to stay two nights at the Thunder Ridge campground. It didn't take long after arrival before we set off down towards the reservoir for a short hike. There was a little rain in the air so I put on my new Tyvek jacket I had bought on eBay just for this Colorado trip.
