On the top of the hill, and on the old burial mound itself, a newer monument have been erected, to the memory of some local guys who lost their lives in the Resistance, during World War II. These woods are pretty far from everything and was much used by our Allies for air drops of weapons and ammunition in our fight against the Nazis.
