Compared with what we the following days were to find, the West Thumb Geyser Basin area was rather small, with a few boiling pools and steam flowing from the larger ones. After a while we returned to the car to drive across Craig Pass in the direction of Old Faithful, probably the most well-known geyser in Yellowstone.
