At least it was not raining right now, but I knew I would be in for some mud. For half way down this circuit I would pass along a feeding place for the deer of the parkland, and in the winter months this place was always muddy. And on top of this weather was showery that day - although it didn't start raining until I was well on the return leg of the circuit.
