Curtain Call

On my way home I was thinking of what the specialist had said, for I had never had a surgery before and I didn't like the thought of someone cutting my good valuable bones. They had served me so well all my 56 years - so there could be a reason why they now were so worn. All through the 80s I had made long hikes with rucksacks weighing up to 70 pounds, which could be part of the reason.
