Now I had returned to Interlaken I sure would make do of the same ascent route which I had made use of back in 1981, but this time we had a rental car at disposal, so we started the hike from Böningen. But the long ascent of more than 2000 meters was still the same. The cliff was facing north-west, and since we had started the climb before sunrise we were high on the hillside before we reached the now sunlit upper slopes.
