The mother of the family soon got anxious about the loose talus, and I suggested her to come over where I was. To my surprise, she did so, and then I led her down the next set of switchbacks, while the rest of the group continued their way directly downhill. But at the next corner they'd had enough and came over to us, leaving it to this unknown lycra-clad wrestling guy to guide them down the slope.
