It had not been possible to close the zipper while I was wearing the suit, but when I inspected it afterwards I found the zipper in working order, only was its lower inch torn from the seam. Maybe the zipper could have been closed if I had closed this lower inch of the zipper before entering the suit? This maybe was a solution, but to try this possibility it would have to wait till next time I had a lycra aficionado visiting me.
