The UIAA-organised trip to Damavand, which I had expected to participate in, was delayed, so that I was unable to return to Tehran before expiry of my visa. But connected by telephone to my friend Mohammad in Copenhagen gave me a contact to his friend Hassan, who would be delighted to climb Sabalan Kouh with me, a mountain which I back in 2004 had tried to climb with Christian.
