Most of the other climbers turned back as we ventured into the storm on the upper slopes, so in the end we were the first party but one to arrive at the summit. Although I had fantasized about wearing these orange tights right to the summit, I had made the right choice in putting on my storm gear. But inside the windproof garments my capri tights helped me keeping the warmth.
