This was September 2012, and with my friend Paul we had returned from Sydney, doing the Sydney Marathon there six days earlier. So we were now back in his house in Lockyer Valley and of course we had started the day with a morning run, this time trying to find a trail from the southern end of Range Crescent down west to the railway line below.
