Marble

These tights were bought in a sports shop in Munich in 1996, and they don't have a name, neither of the producer nor a brand itself, so I just call them "marble" because they have a distinct marble-like pattern of different colors of orange. Although the label says 80% nylon and 20% lycra, they feel more cottonlike than usual, and they are not quite as stretchy as I'm used to. It took a few years before they were taken to the mountains, which happened in August 1999 when I spend most of my vacation in the Zinal valley. Although I mostly used these tights for hut approaces, they summited the 3396m high Pigne de la Lé. It wasn't supposed so, as I had planned to put on my overtrousers once on the glacier, but found it wasn't cold enough for this.
