Apparently this advice worked well, for I have some times practised this myself as a test during the winter and had been able to run a few hundred meters once in a while without dragging my left foot. And this time I had one more reason not to drag my foot, as I had just bought new running shoes, which were lighter and thus not particular sturdy for tough wearing.
