From the start I could only run half the length of this spit, but these was the first metres I had run since the marathon in May. But in the subsequent attempts I was able to run longer, and in the end I was able to run the full 80m length, which I was quite happy with. Thus I did a total run of 750 metres, which in former days would have been ridiculous, but now I was happy with the little I could do!
