Then nine years had passed and I had a growing trouble with my knees, as I for many years had developed knock-knees, which thus had an influence on my running ability. Thus my final marathon run was the one I participated in when I in 2013 was in Ottawa. These knock-knees forced me to surgeries in 2019 for my right knee followed by a second surgery in 2021 for my left knee.
