10:21 am. I left my campsite in the gravel pit just above the stream of Billan and began the hike up the dirt road. It was a wonderful sunny summerlike day, even though it was only May 2009. It was the Whitsun holidays, so most of the scattered and normally desolate cottages along the road were now visited by people, enjoying the perfect weather.
