As a result of this, when seen from the front these tights looked like they had two bands spiralling down the legs, or maybe just one band on each leg which made two turns. But since they are made in different sections this explains why there are only two panels on the back of the legs but four on the front. Though it took a long time before I realised this, for I normally don't see my tights from the sides.
