This was May 2009, and on this my third trip to California I finally had got the chance of climbing Mount Whitney, the highest mountain in the 48 contiguous states. But before my trip to the Sierras I had met Chris, one of my friends in San Francisco, and had exchanged several pieces of lycra wear with him to be enjoyed by each other during my time in California.
