Eventually, in October 1998 it was time to take these Bergsport tights to the mountains. This trip is a three-day hike in the Evolène area in the western part of the Swiss Alps. I had not been in this area before, but situated between the Zinal and Mattertal valleys, I could look rights across the valley to Thyon, from where I twice have been running the great mountain race Thyon-Dixence.
